Focus on connecting industry with technology providers

At decarbXpo start-ups and young companies get direct networking access to industry and trade, spanning from SMEs to large corporations. The trade show cooperates with seven other leading trade fairs to ensure broad industry participation. This network currently reaches more than 400,000 trade visitors from the retail, paper, plastics, metal and glass industries. Further co-operations are being realized. The expo also cooperates with the VDMA’s (German Engineering Federation) Power-to-X working group, adding further industry contacts to the event.

In view of current climate policy developments, companies from all industries are under pressure to reduce their CO2 emissions and ensure “green supply chains”. At decarbXpo, they can network with suppliers of innovative systems and services and find solutions. The Start-up Area offers young innovators the opportunity to present their technologies and services alongside renowned providers and establish contacts with potential customers and partners.

Additional funding for German start-ups from BMWK

decarbXpo is listed as a leading international trade fair by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). The listing enables young innovative companies to receive reimbursement of up to 60 percent of their trade fair exhibitor costs as part of a BMWK funding program.

Networking with investors

Innovations need investments, and young companies often rely on funding to realize new technologies and market them internationally. “At decarbXpo, industry representatives, energy technology providers and investors from 60 countries come together over three days to exchange information about the latest developments and technologies. There is great potential for innovation in decarbonisation and energy storage – not only relating to hydrogen solutions. In the Start-up Area we are looking to attract young companies that are real change makers in this field and provide long-term solutions for industrial and commercial decarbonisation“, says Nilgün Meyer-Koca, Senior Project Manager, decarbXpo.
