Windindustrie in Deutschland Broschüre 2016

Wind industry in Germany

The brochures present background information on wind energy as well as data, potentials and companies. Among other things, the brochure shows where jobs are created, what export potentials turbine manufacturers have and how traditional medium-sized companies benefit from wind energy. Infographics and photos from the production, assembly and operation of wind turbines provide a picture of the development status of the industry. The editorial section presents figures and connections such as market development, profitability and technology. The company section presents companies and service providers.

Sunbeam developed the concept in 2005 in cooperation with Solarpraxis AG. The industry associations VDMA Power Systems and Bundesverband Windenergie e.V. were involved in order to promote the acceptance of the companies, then the product later passed over.

The data of the participating companies, the editing and the translation of the contributions were managed and edited using an online editorial system specially developed by Sunbeam. The content was published on the multilingual website via an XML interface.

Tesvolt high-voltage storage system has been nominated for the ees AWARD

Press release | 16 May 2018

Tesvolt high-voltage storage system has been nominated for the ees AWARD

Efficient storage solution for industry and commerce

Wittenberg, 16 May 2018 – The Tesvolt high-voltage storage system has been shortlisted for the ees AWARD. The manufacturer from Wittenberg (Germany) has launched a storage system which is exceptionally economical: the TS HV 70. The levelized cost of storage (LCOS) is a mere 9 euro cents. With its outstanding total system efficiency of 92 percent and a lifespan of up to 30 years, this high-voltage storage system certainly pays off. The ees AWARD, which honours the most pioneering products for electricity storage each year, will be presented on 20 June at ees Europe, the continent’s largest exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems.

Press photos are available here: https://www.tesvolt.com/en/presse/tesvolt-high-voltage-storage-system-has-been-nominated-for-the-ees-award__prr24.html

“We are delighted about the nomination – after all, the ees AWARD is the Oscars of the storage industry,” says Daniel Hannemann, Tesvolt’s Managing Director. “Our high-voltage storage system shows the market that storage systems pay off for industry and commerce.”

High overall efficiency equals economic efficiency

“A storage system’s economic efficiency essentially depends on its overall energy efficiency. Many storage system manufacturers only state the battery efficiency, even though the overall efficiency of the storage system is what really counts,” explains Simon Schandert, Director of Engineering at Tesvolt. “With 92 percent, our high-voltage storage system achieves the highest energy efficiency found in the market.” This is due to the high battery efficiency of 98 percent, combined with a highly efficient inverter, which has been especially developed for the Tesvolt high-voltage storage system by SMA Solar Technology.

Longevity equals economic efficiency

Tesvolt integrates lithium-based prismatic high energy and high-efficiency cells of the kind used in state-of-the-art electric cars. Tesvolt’s own battery management system ensures that battery cells are always charged and discharged in an ideal way. The active cell balancing is not just limited to the cells within a battery module, but the different battery modules are also optimized to fit with each other. This system is unique in the world. The Active Battery Optimizer monitors the temperature, voltage and state of charge of each individual cell or battery module, which significantly boosts the cells’ lifespan, giving the TS HV 70 a service life of up to 30 years. This is equivalent to around 8,000 complete charge cycles with a depth of discharge (DoD) of 100 percent.

The storage system is produced at the company’s headquarters in Lutherstadt Wittenberg and functions just as well with a low voltage of 48 volts as with a high voltage of 1,000 volts for stationary commercial and industrial applications.

Tesvolt will be introducing its storage systems at Intersolar Europe in Munich from 20–22 June 2018.

Energis PV-Online calculator

logo Energis

The largest energy provider in Saarland, Energis, wanted to generate its own leads with the help of a PV computer. Energis chose the Sunbeam solar calculator. Thanks to the server-based architecture with API, Energis is able to deploy the computer on various landing pages and even provide it to its subsidiaries.

The implementation took place in a two-stage design. In this variant, users can first carry out a quick design and obtain an approximate result in just a few seconds. You then have the choice of either requesting a consultation or carrying out a detailed design independently using our Google Map module, which not only calculates the size of the available roof area, but also the exact orientation of the roof.

Design tool for determining the roof pitch,

Based on the location and roof data, the PV calculator determines the specific irradiation and the optimum system size in the form of a suitable solar package. On this basis, the solar yield, various economic aspects and the rate of self-sufficiency and own consumption are then calculated.

Energis can adjust the default values (e. g. electricity price or consumption) as well as all variables (e. g. remuneration from the Renewable Energy Sources Act, module properties, etc.) in its own backend at any time.

Zebotec PV yield data portal

ZEBOTEC Logo

The company Zebotec takes over the management of larger PV systems as a service provider. It was looking for a way to provide investors or other users without a technical focus with access to plant information. All necessary information was available in the software for monitoring the systems.

However, since the use of this software requires training and costly licenses must be purchased for each user, we were commissioned to create an appropriate application that works with the existing data, is user-friendly, is limited to displaying the necessary data and minimizes the costs for additional users.

As a result, we have programmed an application that visualises the yield data for various periods (year/month/day) and also provides information on the operating status of the plant. Each user can have access to any number of PV systems.

The server-based yield data portal is based on the existing software solution, but has its own user administration. Users can access the data via any web browser.

The interface is designed to be fully responsive so that the user can access it from any device (e.g. mobile phone, PC or tablet).

Multitalent Biogas DE EN

Biogas: an all-rounder

In cooperation with the Fachverband Biogas e. V., a total of 4 editions of the image brochure “biogas an all-rounder – New opportunities for agriculture, industry and the environment” were published. The special publications present the main players in the German biogas industry and offer a comprehensive overview of current developments and the performance of the German biogas industry.

We were responsible for the implementation of the 100-page reports, from the conception to the editorial design and the typesetting of numerous concise illustrations to the coordination and printing.

renewables – Made in Germany

Logo renewables made in Germany

The industry catalogue “renewables – Made in Germany” was published annually by the German Energy Agency (dena) as part of the BMWi’s Renewable Energy Export Initiative. The five-language publication provided information on various technologies and presented various German companies from all areas of renewable energy with their products and services.

Media data, website and double page Russian

Since the first edition in 2004, Sunbeam has maintained this publication and a corresponding website. She developed the content concept, editorial design and logo of the campaign. The data of the participating companies, the editing and translation of the contributions were managed and processed with an online editing system specially developed by Sunbeam. The content was published on the multilingual website via an XML interface.

The calculations are based on a consumption profile that reflects a typical single-family household. In contrast to standard computers, it is based on the assumption that the family consumes electricity in the evenings and at weekends rather than during the day during the week. The load profile has been developed in cooperation with the Berlin University of Applied Sciences.

Particularly pleasant for the user: The calculation result appears at the same time as the personal data is entered, e.g. annual household electricity consumption. Thanks to the responsive programming, the calculator can also be used on various end devices such as tablets and smartphones.

Elcore produces the first electricity-generating heating system that generates only as much heat as a conventional single-family home needs. Previous solutions are only economical if there is a high heat demand. In contrast, the Elcore energy system with the fuel cell CHP Elcore 2400 is suitable for all existing or newly built homes. It enables complete heating solutions with procurement and operating costs far below those of comparable electricity-generating heating systems.
