Market reacts to energy crisis – sharp increase in demand for Tesvolt energy storage systems

Tesvolt, one of the world’s leading producers of energy storage technology for the commercial and industrial sectors, is currently experiencing a sharp increase in the demand for its battery storage systems that significantly exceed long-term growth trends. Against the backdrop of dramatic increases in oil and gas prices, Tesvolt’s order volume has seen a rapid increase over recent weeks and, in March 2022, peaked at 195% over that of the previous year.

Daniel Hannemann, Tesvolt CEO and co-founder: „The tragic events in Ukraine are showing just how much the industrial sector depends on Russian oil and gas. This vast surge in orders highlights that increasingly more companies are now looking to quickly and permanently reduce their dependency on fossil fuels. In order to do so, we need to effectively couple renewable energy generation systems with decentralised energy storage solutions.“
Currently, demand for commercial energy storage systems has drastically surged, particularly from Western Europe. The move towards replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy and suitable storage systems is especially strong among medium-sized businesses. The key drivers behind this development are the high fuel prices and the expansion of the charging infrastructure.

Finance expert Philipp Koecke becomes CFO of Tesvolt
PRESS RELEASE – Wittenberg, Germany, 4 April 2022:
Philipp Koecke becomes Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Tesvolt, one of the world’s leading providers of energy storage systems for commerce and industry. The finance expert, aged 50, has international industry experience in renewable energies; his previous roles include leading a large listed company as Chief Financial Officer. He will join the Tesvolt team at the beginning of May.

15 years as CFO of Solarworld
Koecke, who studied economics, spent a number of years as an investment manager at a technology-oriented investment company. Afterwards, he led the finance department at Solarworld AG for 15 years. In his time there, the company achieved annual turnover of up to EUR 1.3 billion. Alongside his board duties, he was also a member of the Board of Directors at the company’s US subsidiaries, which together counted more than 1,000 employees. He supported Solarworld as it grew to more than 3,000 employees and contributed significantly to the successful expansion of the company. In 2017, Koecke moved into senior management at a fast-growing technology firm. He brings with him a deep understanding of the engineering involved in renewable energies and storage technology.

LG Electronics was looking for a suitable PV online calculator to win leads in the private customer sector in Germany. After successful implementation and use of the German lead generator, the calculator was adapted for various European markets (Italy, Great Britain, France, the Netherlands and Belgium with two versions for Flanders and Wallonia).

Electrical craftsman can not complain about lack of orders or idle time. At the same time, it is being wooed by many manufacturers, who want the tradesman to become a specialist partner for their own product.
Expectations surpassed
Our customer TESVOLT also wanted to win new trade partners with its digital roadshow “TESVOLT Euro Tour” – across Europe. Not only did we succeed, but our client’s conversion target was far exceeded: 1,244 tradespeople registered for the digital roadshow via a well thought-out sales funnel and media mix, and 182 of them became trade partners directly afterwards. In the campaign year 2020, TESVOLT was also able to increase its sales by more than 50% compared to the previous year.

This also convinced the GWA Effie Award jury, which awarded a silver B2B Effie – the Oscar of the marketing industry – for the campaign in Germany in the “Activation” category.
Who reads where what
Sunbeam was responsible for all media planning in ten European countries. Since the electrical trade is the target group of many of our customers, we know which trade media are mainly read by them. At the same time, we have long-established contacts with the publishers of the important media. This has enabled us to negotiate prominent placements in print and online media at the best prices. CONEXIO is one of the most important event organisers in the field of renewable energies. For several years, Sunbeam has been supporting CONEXIO with strategy, PR, social media and ongoing support in the design and creation of all event materials from giveaways to the guidance system in the location. Renewable energies in municipalities
This brochure contains a selection of successful renewable energy solutions that are suitable for application in municipalities. Information on the most important sectors and the current state of the energy transition is explained, as well as different technology options and the possibilities for application in municipalities. The brochure also contains model projects that have been successfully implemented in Europe, the Russian Federation and Central Asia. It was produced in German, Russian and English.
Sunbeam developed the concept together with the German Energy Agency (dena) and was responsible for the editing, most of the illustrations and the design.

TESVOLT has specialized in battery storage systems for commercial enterprises. The company, based in Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Germany, produces storage batteries with the most modern battery cells: prismatic lithium cells from Samsung SDI based on nickel-manganese-cobalt-oxide. TESVOLT storage units work with low voltage as well as with high voltage and can be connected to all power generators: Sun, wind, water, biogas and combined heat and power – On-Grid as well as Off-Grid. All TESVOLT storage tanks are produced in our own production plant in Germany.
