SmartFlex “enables individually designed solar facades in a wide range of colours and shapes that are produced on an industrial scale. Using the SmartFlex software, architects can plan their facades simply and intuitively and then transfer the data directly to a production line. The first production line for tailor-made solar façades is located in Vilnius, Lithuania, in the factory of the solar module manufacturer Via Solis.
Sunbeam developed corporate design, logo, concept and text for website, flyers, advertisements, banners and rollups. The leaflet in an unusual format is used by the project partners to inspire façade builders and architects for the idea of flexible and economical solar façades.
Elcore
Sunbeam is responsible for PR at the Munich-based technology company Elcore. Elcore develops and produces highly efficient energy systems based on state-of-the-art fuel cell technology. The agency advises Elcore, plans and organizes the company’s press relations and supervises the editing of press releases.

Elcore produces the first electricity-generating heating system that generates only as much heat as a conventional single-family home needs. Previous solutions are only economical if there is a high heat demand. In contrast, the Elcore energy system with the fuel cell CHP Elcore 2400 is suitable for all existing or newly built homes. It enables complete heating solutions with procurement and operating costs far below those of comparable electricity-generating heating systems.
Animation of the energy transition
Sunbeam has produced a short film for the knowledge service provider Solarpraxis and the trade magazine pv magazine, which shows the next necessary steps to achieve the energy transition.
The almost six-minute animation video “Shaping the energy transition – seizing opportunities” answers the following questions in a simple and understandable way: How can the energy transition be made more equitable? How to create a fair energy market? How can electricity grids be modernized in a meaningful way?
In order to make the complex subject as clear as possible, the short film uses simple recognizable elements. The individual actors are created in Illustrator and Photoshop. The animation was realized with After Effects.
The film is aimed at a broad public and was shown for the first time at the 11th Forum Solarpraxis as part of a speech by Karl-Heiz Remmers.
Vikram Solar
Sunbeam supports the worldwide press work of the international solar company Vikram Solar. The tasks include consulting, conception and editing of press texts and translation work.

The Photovoltaik-Institut Berlin advises as an independent expert in the planning, construction and operation of PV power plants worldwide. With its experienced team of researchers and engineers, it offers a wide range of planning and testing services. The quality assurance of complex PV projects forms the core of this process. PI Berlin has already supported projects with a total rated output of more than 2 gigawatts (GW) worldwide.
The institute also has an IEC-accredited test laboratory at its German location in Berlin, which tests solar modules for performance, reliability and resistance. Another testing laboratory of the institute is located in Suzhou, China. The tests are conducted according to strict criteria that go beyond the IEC standards.
The institute was founded ten years ago by the PV experts Prof. Dr. Stefan Krauter, Sven Lehmann and Paul Grunow, who is also one of the founders of Solon and Q-Cells.

Sunbeam supports the corporate communications of Neas Energy, a leading Danish energy trading and portfolio management company. Energy Storage Europe is the leading trade show for the global energy storage industry and flexible sector coupling. In 2017, the fair grew by around 35 percent to more than 4,200 visitors from over 55 countries. More than 160 exhibitors presented their products and services.
RheinEnergie PV online calculator
The regional energy supplier Rheinenergie had already decided in 2015 to use one of our solar computers as the lead generator for its own homepage. In 2017 an update to the latest server-based variant with API took place. In addition to higher performance and ease of maintenance, the new version also offers a backend in which Rheinenergie can independently adjust the default values (e. g. electricity price or consumption) as well as all variables (e. g. remuneration form the Renewable Energy Sources Act, module properties, etc.) at any time. In addition, the design and calculation of battery memories has been integrated.

The users first design the PV system. The result gives the user the possibility to add a battery storage device.
On the basis of the location and roof data, the PV calculator first determines the irradiation and recommends a suitable solar package based on the consumption data.
On the basis of the proposed solar package, the solar yield, various economic aspects and the rate of self-sufficiency and own consumption are calculated. The latter values are visualized using live diagrams.
If the user has added a storage tank, the lease rate as well as yield and profitability calculations are recalculated on the basis of the user data on consumption and usage profile as well as the calculated yield data of the PV system.
