For instance, they can select a logistics hall where the rechargeable batteries in fork lifts are charged at night using stored solar power in order to increase self-consumption. There is also the option of a car dealership which practices peak shaving using charging stations, as well as a poultry farm where the storage system is used for back-up energy.<\/p>\n In this virtual world, distribution partners can also demonstrate the specific benefits of energy storage: how electricity costs can be cut using battery storage systems, how self-consumption of self-generated electricity can be increased, how expensive peak loads can be shaved, for instance by installing charging stations, how electricity can be used even without a grid connection and how energy storage systems can be used for grid stabilization.<\/p>\n \u201cIf we want to keep popularizing power storage, then we and our partners need to be working innovatively in accordance with the state of the art all the way down the line, including in distribution.
